We're Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public. And, as somebody who has written something somewhere, it is our most dearly held unsupported assumption that Doctorow and his cronies should do their utmost to cater to our every whim, put up with our incessant bitching, and suffer through our endless nitpicking.

You might well ask, "Why should Cory have to put up with that?" Because Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public, the Founding Fathers fought and died to protect our right to sound off with any hypocritical, ill-conceived, half baked, overblown notion that comes in our mostly hollow heads.

When we make a big deal out of somebody's honest mistake or act like we're intellectually superior on the basis of a simple and innocent slip-up, we're not just acting like asses. No, we're acting like assess for Freedom!

Whenever we leave a marginally literate post complaining about somebody else's writing or inject tasteless personal attacks into an online conversation, we're saying thank you. That's right. We're saying: "Thank you George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Thanks for kicking so much ass and killing so many people so we could live in a land that is free and not overrun with cherry trees!"

[End humming 'cause this last bit is serious.]

Anything else tells the North Koreans that you want them to build more bombs. And none of us want that.

Anyways, I completely understand the "being completely exhausted upon returning home" part.  Most days I manage to make dinner and play with the bunnies, sometimes I can even accomplish something else around the house (cleaning, renovating, you name it).  Most days I slump in front of the computer or TV until I decide it's time to go to bed.

So no pressure, I just thought I would bug you :-)
